The Courage to See and Be Seen
Whether you follow the astrology or not, many of us can feel we’re in a time of major transition as a collective. The old ways of thinking, working, and living are changing faster than we can comprehend. Meanwhile the structures and systems that once held our society together are failing and falling apart, while it isn’t clear yet what or how we can build to replace them.
The aspects making up Barbault’s Basket are still activating, and they’ll keep propelling us forward, but that will play out over the coming years. These are slow moving planets and long planetary cycles. Yet, the astrology of July has marked an important turning point where it seems undeniable now that our current institutions and ways of living cannot continue as they once had.
The astrology of the week ahead encourages us to look inward for the answers we can’t find outside of us. The politicians, the education system, healthcare, and the economy have all become so dysfunctional, there’s nowhere left to look but within ourselves to rediscover our own power: the same power we gave away to external sources who were supposed to keep us safe, so long as we stayed good, law-abiding citizens who went to work and paid our taxes.
The centerpiece of this week’s astrology is Wednesday’s Full Moon in Aquarius, arriving at 7:36am PT just hours after the Sun and Jupiter meet up in Leo. It’s a natural next chapter to last week’s Jupiter-Pluto opposition. Leo wants to shine, to express from the heart, and be seen. Aquarius wants that same light to serve something bigger than any one person, contributing to the collective good rather than ego-based validation. This Full Moon illuminates whatever you’ve been building in your own name and asks how it connects to support the wider collective.
With Pluto involved, we’ll be challenged to look deeply at some uncomfortable truths around ego, power, and control in the light of this Full Moon. The Sun is supported by Jupiter in Leo, giving us extra courage to see the truth, and to be seen in our own truth. Expect illuminations around what needs to be released from our lives in order to live and express more authentically, even when it’s vulnerable and uncomfortable.
Before we get there, Monday’s Capricorn Moon squares newly retrograde Saturn in Aries, testing whether the structures you’re building to can hold the weight of reality, while an opposition to Mercury in Cancer pulls at emotional needs that may be absent from your to do list or five year plan. Tuesday goes quiet, the Moon void of course for most of the day until it slips into Aquarius that evening and immediately squares Chiron in Taurus, touching an old ache about self-worth or security.
With Jupiter and Pluto involved, the Full Moon on Wednesday is likely to be intense but after it’s done its work, the week gets softer and quieter. The Moon will be waning and spends Friday through Sunday morning in Pisces, dissolving the sharper edges of the prior few days and asking you to feel your way forward instead of thinking your way through. It’s a good stretch for rest, imagination, and not needing an answer right away.
By Sunday afternoon, the Moon crosses into Aries and immediately links up with several planets, giving the tail end of the week a boost of momentum and energy to start doing something with what came up throughout the week.

The Daily Mood - Monday, July 27
Foundations Under Pressure
The Moon spends the whole day in Capricorn, still carrying some of the Sun-Pluto opposition energy into the start of this week. Overnight, the Sun in Leo trines Neptune in Aries. This is a soft, imaginative aspect that can bring a sense of purpose to whatever you’re creating, like a preview of what’s possible if you stay the course.
Around midday, the Capricorn Moon squares Saturn, now retrograde in Aries, and this is where the day gets some friction. Capricorn wants to build something that lasts, brick by brick, with proof to show for the effort. Aries wants to move now, without waiting for permission or a fully formed plan. The square between them can feel like being asked to slow down and prove your commitment when you’d rather just charge ahead. In the afternoon, the Sun sextiles Uranus in Gemini, which is an easier and supportive aspect that can bring a flash of insight or a new way to approach an old problem.
Tonight, the Moon opposes Mercury in Cancer, which can create a mismatch between what you’re trying to accomplish and what you need to feel safe. Capricorn wants results. Cancer wants to be held. They’re asking for different things at the same time, but you can find ways to honor both if you work with it consciously. Late tonight, the Moon trines Venus in Virgo, softening the day’s tension with a small, grounded act of care or refinement.
Reflections
Where am I being asked to prove my commitment instead of just feeling it?
What do I need emotionally that my to-do list isn’t accounting for?
Mood Booster Let today’s Capricorn energy work for you. Pick one concrete, unglamorous task that moves your bigger goal forward, and let that be enough for today. You don’t need the whole plan figured out by tonight.
The Daily Mood - Tuesday, July 28
The Pause Before the Shift
The Capricorn Moon is void of course most of the day. Void of course stretches are a built in pause, and today’s is asking you to finish what’s already in motion rather than start something that needs new momentum.
The Moon enters Aquarius at 6:46pm PT, shifting the mood from Capricorn’s careful, structured focus toward a more visionary, humanitarian, and idea driven focus. Aquarius wants room to think, to question the plan instead of just executing it, and to remember that you’re part of something bigger than yourself.
Tonight, the Aquarius Moon squares Chiron in Taurus, which can bring up an old wound around security or self-worth, especially if today’s shift in direction feels destabilizing. This isn’t the moment to fix the wound, just to notice it and allow it to be there. Taurus wants safety, security, and something solid to stand on. Aquarius wants the freedom to change course. The square between is asking you to notice how it feels to want both at once.
Reflections
What can I finish today instead of starting something new?
Where am I noticing the need for security vs wanting freedom pulling against each other?
Mood Booster Don’t force tonight’s discomfort into a resolution. If an old insecurity surfaces after the Moon shifts into Aquarius, let it be there without trying to talk yourself out of it or immediately fix it. Some feelings just need a witness.
The Daily Mood - Wednesday, July 29
Looking Deeper, Thinking Bigger
The Full Moon in Aquarius arrives at 7:36am PT, but the sky is busy building toward it well before sunrise. Just after midnight, Venus in Virgo squares Mars in Gemini, which can create friction in our relationships or internally between wanting things done carefully and wanting them done fast. Overnight, the Aquarius Moon conjoins Pluto in the same sign, sextiles Neptune in Aries, and trines Uranus in Gemini, three aspects that deepen the Full Moon’s themes of transformation, vision, and sudden clarity before it even peaks.
Jupiter reaches the Sun in Leo in the early morning hours, just before the Full Moon takes place. That means Jupiter is being reborn in the heart of the Sun in Leo while the Moon is full in Aquarius, still closely paired up with Pluto, opposite them both. This exact conjunction between Jupiter and the Sun is known as a cazimi, which marks the exact point where one Jupiter-Sun cycle ends and the next begins. Whatever gets set into motion here and will unfold over the next ~13 months.
The Full Moon will amplify the power of this cazimi, and with Pluto involved the sky will demand deeper truth around issues of power, control, and transformation. Leo wants to shine, to be seen authentically, and to take up space without apology. Aquarius wants that same shine to serve something bigger than individual ego, to be in service to the collective. This isn’t a soft nudge toward humanitarian ideals, it’s a demand that you look at your own motivations and see clearly where you’ve been performing for validation versus contributing something because you actually believe in it.
A Full Moon always illuminates a relationship between two signs, and this one is asking what are you building for yourself, and how does it serve something larger than you? Where are you expressing from the heart vs performing for applause?
Just before midnight PT, the Aquarius Moon sextiles Saturn in Aries, a supportive aspect that can help you translate whatever insight arrived this morning into something workable, rather than letting it stay conceptual.
Reflections
What am I ready to see more clearly about where I’ve been performing vs. expressing from my heart?
How does the thing I’m building serve people or a collective cause beyond myself?
Mood Booster Full Moons brings things into the light so they can be released. Whatever comes up today around ego, recognition, or your place in a larger group, don’t rush to act on it. Write it down, sit with it, and allow yourself to release what’s no longer serving your highest path in your own time.
The Daily Mood - Thursday, July 30
In the Afterglow
The Moon is waning now after last night’s fullness, which means today is less about new insight and more about processing what’s been illuminated. This morning, the Aquarius Moon forms an inconjunct to Mercury in Cancer. This can feel like an awkward aspect that can leave you unsure how to articulate what you’re feeling, especially if last night’s Full Moon brought up something you haven’t processed yet.
This afternoon, the Moon trines Mars in Gemini, giving you a burst of energy and follow through if you need to act on anything practical. Not long after, it forms another inconjunct, this time to Venus in Virgo, which can bring a small mismatch between how you want to be cared for and how care it’s actually showing up around you. Aquarius wants space and independence. Virgo wants help in specific, tangible ways. Notice how it might be showing up without immediately needing to resolve it.
Reflections
What insights from yesterday’s Full Moon am I still making sense of?
Where is the support I’m being offered slightly out of sync with what I need?
Mood Booster Give yourself permission to be a little inconsistent today. Between two inconjuncts, some awkwardness is baked in. Aquarius needs freedom and room to think, so make time to journal or reflect on whatever has been on your mind since the Full Moon.
The Daily Mood - Friday, July 31
Between Worlds
The Moon leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces in the early morning hours, trading detached, big picture thinking for softer and more porous feelings. Later this morning, the Pisces Moon sextiles Chiron in Taurus, a gentle aspect that can help an old wound feel a little less raw, especially after this week’s Aquarius Moon already brushed up against it in a harsher aspect.
This afternoon, the Pisces Moon squares Uranus in Gemini, which can bring a restless, scattered energy or a sudden urge to change plans. Pisces wants to drift and feel its way through the day, while Gemini wants stimulation, options, something new to think about. The square between them can feel like being pulled in two directions that don’t necessarily conflict, but move very differently.
Tonight the Pisces Moon forms two inconjuncts in a row, first to Jupiter and then to the Sun, both in Leo. Pisces wants to dissolve boundaries and merge with something larger than the self. Leo wants to stand out and shine as its own distinct, radiant being. Inconjuncts aren’t dramatic, but ask for a small adjustment which reminds us that being seen and letting go aren’t actually opposites, they just don’t line up perfectly without a little effort.
Reflections
Where am I being asked to feel my way through instead of think my way through?
What’s the difference for me between disappearing and letting go?
Mood Booster Let today be soft around the edges. Pisces doesn’t want a plan, it wants permission to drift and flow. Draw or write whatever is coming through, spend time near water, or just let your attention wander without steering too hard.
The Daily Mood - Saturday, August 1
Nothing To Prove
It’s a quiet day, as the Moon continues through Pisces and making just one aspect all day, a trine to Mercury in Cancer tonight. Two water signs speaking the same language. Pisces wants to rest and feel its way through. Cancer wants emotional safety and a sense of being understood. When they trine each other, the it can feel like quiet comfort and ease. This can show up as a conversation with a loved one that flows easily and doesn’t require any translation, or a simple and comforting evening where nothing needs fixing or adjusting.
The Moon is also building toward a square to Mars in Gemini, set to perfect overnight. We’re more likely to feel the tension today while it’s building. The Moon in Pisces wants to go with the flow, while Mars in Gemini is compelled to act and do it fast. There can be a sense of urgency to rush ahead or prove you can keep up, but nothing that actually needs you to act just yet.
Reflections
What would it look like to let today be easy and flowing?
Where am I rushing today, and is there anything truly urgent or can I allow the situation to evolve?
Mood Booster Rest, connect with someone who just gets you, or do absolutely nothing and let yourself be nourished by it. If some restlessness creeps in later, try to ride the wave without needing to resolve it.
The Daily Mood - Sunday, August 2
Ready To Move Again
Overnight, the Pisces Moon squares Mars in Gemini, which can bring a low simmer of frustration or restlessness right as you’re trying to wind down into a restful Sunday. Not long after, the Pisces Moon opposes Venus in Virgo, creating friction between wanting to release control and wanting everything in its right place just before going void of course for the rest of the morning.
At 1:37pm PT, the Moon enters Aries, and the energy ramps up. Aries wants to move now, without overthinking it.
Later tonight, the Moon forms a conjunction with Neptune in Aries and sextiles to Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini, forming a minor grand trine. The Neptune conjunction softens Aries’ usual instinct to act first and think later into something a little more intuitive, following a pull or a hunch toward something you can’t fully explain yet, rather than forcing an outcome through sheer will. Paired with the Pluto and Uranus sextiles on either side, that intuitive spark gets depth and power from Pluto and a spark of breakthrough energy from Uranus.
This is a good closing note for the week. The Full Moon illuminated something on Wednesday and Pisces asked you to feel your way through since then, leading to Sunday evening’s Aries Moon that gives you a chance to actually start doing something with it.
Reflections
What am I ready to act on now that I’ve had time to feel it out?
Where has this week shown me the difference between drifting and following a more intuitive way forward?
Mood Booster Use tonight’s Aries energy. Start the thing, send the message, book the appointment, whatever’s been sitting in the haze of the last few days.

The energy has been intense. It’s been rainy here for the past 5 days or so, so I haven’t gone for my regular morning walk. I’m finding it’s easy to feel ungrounded. The week ahead looks more promising weather-wise thankfully
